Stellar Scientist Passes On

Stephen Hawking, author of “A Brief History of Time” and one of the most brilliant minds of our time, passed away today, 55 years later than his doctors said he would. Fittingly, it’s Albert Einstein’s birthday and Pi Day. The physicist and cosmologist expanded our knowledge of black holes, the Big Bang theory, the universe, and beyond.

Pi Day is Coming

People get excited about Pi Day, which is March 14th. The College of Idaho Math Club is planning a world record attempt with 600 people representing the first 600 digits of pi. The Boston Museum of Science set a U.S. record for the most shaving cream pies thrown at once. What are you planning for Pi Day?
