42 big businesses in the United Kingdom have signed the UK Plastics Pledge. Corporations such as Tesco, Asda, Unilever, Coca-Cola and PepsiCo will meet goals over the next 7 years to cut out plastics. Companies have to make plastics 100% recyclable, compostable, or reusable to be sold in the supermarkets. The first step is to reduce excess plastic packaging.
