InSight Lander on its Way to Mars

NASA just launched an interplanetary rocket from California. If all goes as planned, the Mars InSight lander will arrive on Mars in less than 7 months, on November 26th. The lander’s mission is to drill down to check the planet’s soil temperature, place a seismometer to measure marsquakes, and install antennas to measure the planet’s movements.

Still Searching for Habitable Planets

SpaceX made its eighth rocket launch this year, and successfully landed the first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket. It carried NASA’s newest satellite, TESS: the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite. TESS will be looking for planets outside our solar system, hunting especially for Earth-like planets. Then the James Webb Space Telescope will take a closer look!

Rocket Launches Galore

Flat-Earther Mad Mike Hughes’s rocket launch failed again. He strapped himself to a rocket, but apparently there was a faulty plunger or blown o ring. Fortunately, he can livestream the Falcon Heavy rocket launch today, which may result in a more spectacular explosion according to Elon Musk. Successful or not, it’ll be exciting!
