Starting in 2020, all new homes in California will be built with solar panels on the roof, to harness energy from the sun. The California Energy Commission hopes that as solar panels become more popular, they will also get cheaper. Solar energy is clean and efficient, and doesn’t pollute the Earth’s atmosphere!

Egypt is building the largest solar park in the world. The Benban Solar Park will cover 14 square miles and should generate 20% of the country’s energy when it’s finished in 2019.
