Sphinx Unearthed in California
A 300-pound sphinx was unearthed in California! But it wasn’t from ancient Egypt. The plaster sphinx, found in the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center, was once a movie prop from Cecil B DeMille’s 1923 film, “The Ten Commandments”. The huge movie set was too expensive to destroy so it was buried at a secret location.
