Birds Refuse to Bring Spare Batteries

A recent study tracked the migration of the Siberian willow warbler. The tiny birds flew over 8000 miles, from Siberia in Russia, to either the Eastern Mediterranean or south-west Asia. The batteries in the tracking devices died before the trek, which took 4 months, was complete. In the spring, they’ll fly another 8000 miles back home!
