A Good Month for Meteor Showers

Even though the peak of the Geminids meteor showers was last night, the nearly-full moon may have washed them out. You can still catch them in the night sky until December 21st. The meteors appear near the constellation Gemini, created from particles of the asteroid 3200 Phaethon. Soon, the Ursid meteors will also appear!
