Go for a Dip in the Furnace

California’s Death Valley reached record-high temperatures on Sunday. It was 130 degrees Fahrenheit, or 54.4 degrees Celsius! Furnace Creek ranch’s weather station has been taking readings for a long time. It recorded a temperature of 134 degrees back in 1913, but there are doubts about the accuracy. It’s certainly the hottest temperature in the world this century.
