Wake Up for the Lunar Eclipse

Tonight’s the night, of the total lunar eclipse, peaking at 3 a m Eastern Time. When the sun and moon are on opposite sides of the planet, called syzygy, the Earth’s shadow falls on the moon, making it appear red. Unlike a solar eclipse, you can view a blood moon without eye protection.
