Nudibranch Dwells in the Pacific Ocean’s Midnight Zone
A creature nicknamed the Mystery Mollusk, was discovered deep in the ocean, where it’s pitch black. The species of sea slug, named Bathydevius caudactylus, has a gelatinous hood, a paddle-like tail, and it can light up. Although it was first observed in 2000, it took 150 sightings to gather enough data to classify it.
