Nurturing Life Instead of Taking It

Pedro Reyes is an artist who created the work, “Palas por Pistolas.” It shows how objects used for harm can be transformed into something that promotes life. The artist melted down 1,527 guns, and molded them into shovels to plant trees! Many public schools and art galleries have put the shovels to good use.
