99 Years Overdue Adds Up to $18,000 in Fines

Ocean County Library in New Jersey, is about to celebrate its 100th anniversary. Coincidentally, 81-year-old Mary Cooper just returned one of their books, which she’d discovered in a box of her mother’s belongings. “Home-Made Toys for Girls and Boys,” had been checked out in 1926! Luckily, the library no longer charges late fees.
