Otter Fur Needs Lots of Grooming

Many mammals who live in icy water, like whales and walruses, have thick layers of blubber, to keep them warm. But how do animals like otters survive, without the extra fat? One way they keep warm is with their dense fur. It has 1,000,000 hairs per-square-inch, to trap an insulating layer of air.
