Stopping the Trash Flow

Boyan Slat is a Dutch engineer, who’s been collecting trash from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch in the ocean. His organization, The Ocean Cleanup, realized that most of the ocean’s garbage flows in from 1000 rivers. He invented a solar-powered barge, called the Interceptor, that eats plastic trash from rivers, before it reaches the sea!
