Teen Finds Huge Jawbone

A teenager in Iowa was looking for arrowheads, but found a 34,000 year-old fossil instead. It was the jawbone of a mastodon, complete with teeth! Mastodons were like hairy elephants. The 30-inch jawbone, which belonged to a juvenile who stood about 7 feet tall, was donated to the University of Iowa Paleontology Repository.
