Professor Zhen He, doesn’t think wastewater is full of waste. Dirty water is full of organic material, that bacteria can eat. He developed a system that turns wastewater into biogas and bioelectricity, while filtering the water clean for reuse. Using bacteria that could live without oxygen, wastewater becomes useful again.
