Where’d All This Dust Come From?
Mars is an incredibly dusty place. Dust storms cover the entire planet in a fine red powder. Planetary scientists have finally figured out where all that dust is coming from! The Medusae Fossae Formation is a volcanic deposit 620 miles long, and it’s been eroding for billions of years. There’s lots more dust to come!
